ROLE SUMMARY
The Infrastructure Engineer manages PayZeep's server infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments, ensuring system reliability, security and performance.The Infrastructure Engineer (Windows/Linux Engineer) is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing the organization's on-premise and cloud infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments. The role ensures the availability, scalability, security, and performance of critical business systems that support digital financial services, payment platforms, internal applications, and regulatory compliance requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer, patch and maintain Windows and Linux servers and virtual machines.
Manage server capacity planning, backups and disaster-recovery processes.
Implement server-hardening and access-control standards.
Support infrastructure incident response and root-cause analysis.
Automate routine infrastructure tasks using scripting tools.
Maintain infrastructure documentation and asset inventories.
Configure and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, File Services, and Identity Management solutions.
Implement and maintain enterprise storage systems and backup solutions
Support cloud infrastructure deployments across Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
Manage hybrid infrastructure environments integrating cloud and on-premise systems.
Optimize cloud resource utilization and infrastructure costs.
Implement server hardening standards and secure configuration baselines.
Manage operating system patching, vulnerability remediation, and security updates.
Develop and maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
Ensure data protection measures meet organizational and regulatory requirements.
Monitor backup success rates and resolve backup-related issues promptly.
Conduct periodic disaster recovery tests and business continuity exercises.
Support security audits, penetration testing, and regulatory assessments.
Improve operational efficiency through scripting and system optimization initiatives.
Standardize infrastructure deployment and configuration management processes.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (required).
Microsoft or Linux certification (e.g. RHCE, MCSE) preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Total Relevant Experience: 5–8 years
Fintech / Financial Services Experience: 6+ years managing server infrastructure in banking, fintech or a regulated environment preferred
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Strong Windows Server and Linux administration skills
Scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
Backup, disaster-recovery and patch-management experience
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools.
