The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for the Oil & Gas portfolio, driving business development initiatives, expanding market share, managing key client relationships, and leading a high‑performing team to achieve the Bank’s financial and strategic objectives.
Job Details
Drive business growth, deposit mobilization, and revenue generation within the Oil & Gas sector
Develop and execute strategies aligned with the Bank’s objectives
Build and manage relationships with Oil & Gas companies and key industry stakeholders
Lead negotiations and structure financial and transactional solutions
Supervise, coach, and develop Relationship Managers and Business Development teams
Monitor performance, pipelines, and achievement of business targets
Ensure strong credit quality, risk management, regulatory compliance, and KYC standards
Represent the Bank at industry forums and stakeholder engagements
Drive cross‑selling across Treasury, Trade Finance, Corporate Banking, and Digital Banking solutions
Requirements
Minimum of a First Degree in any discipline (additional qualifications are an advantage)
7–10+ years’ cognate experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, Commercial, or Corporate Banking
CIBN certification (required or an added advantage)
Proven track record in sales leadership, relationship management, and revenue delivery
Strong understanding of Oil & Gas sector dynamics, risk considerations, and regulatory requirements
Strong analytical, leadership, and negotiation skills
