As the Head of Accounts and Finance, you will oversee the financial heartbeat of the company, ensuring transparency, compliance, and strategic growth.
Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term business plans to support Asolar’s expansion.
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulations.
Tax & Compliance: Lead tax planning and ensure 100% compliance with FIRS, LIRS, and other regulatory bodies relevant to the energy sector.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor liquidity and manage working capital, particularly focusing on inventory financing for solar components and project-based funding.
Audit & Internal Control: Coordinate external audits and strengthen internal control systems to mitigate financial risks.
Stakeholder Management: Liaise with investors, banks, and renewable energy grant donors to manage funding requirements and reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
Professional Certification: ICAN or ACCA is mandatory.
Minimum of 5- 7 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role (experience in the energy or manufacturing sector is a major plus).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or SAP).
Strong understanding of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
