Finishing Design, Detailing & Technical Coordination:
Expected Result: Finishing works are properly designed, detailed, coordinated and executed in accordance with approved architectural requirements.
Prepare, review and interpret finishing drawings, details, specifications and material schedules.
Coordinate finishes with structural, MEP, civil and other architectural requirements.
Review material samples, colours, textures, finishes and proposed alternatives.
Identify design clashes, gaps and constructability issues before execution.
Site Supervision & Finishing Quality Control:
Expected Result: Finishing works meet approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and required architectural appearance.
Inspect and monitor flooring, tiling, ceilings, painting, wall finishes, doors, windows, joinery and other finishing works.
Verify dimensions, alignment, levels, workmanship and material quality.
Identify defective or non-conforming works and ensure prompt correction.
Coordinate inspections with Project Managers, Site Engineers and relevant technical personnel.
Finishing Materials, Samples & Contractor Coordination:
Expected Result: Approved finishing materials and competent contractors/artisans are available and properly coordinated for execution.
Review technical suitability and quality of finishing materials before use.
Inspect delivered materials against approved specifications and samples.
Coordinate with QS, Procurement, Project Managers and contractors on finishing requirements.
Monitor material usage and minimise wastage.
Review and approve samples/mock-ups within delegated authority before bulk execution.
Technical Coordination, Defect Management & Project Delivery:
Expected Result: Finishing activities are completed on time with minimal rework and in coordination with overall project delivery requirements.
Coordinate finishing activities with architectural, structural, MEP and site teams.
Identify and resolve finishing-related technical issues promptly.
Monitor progress against the approved project programme.
Inspect completed areas and coordinate snagging, rectification and final acceptance.
Ensure finishing defects are properly closed before handover.
Documentation, Reporting & Handover:
Expected Result: Accurate finishing records are maintained and completed works are properly documented for handover.
Maintain approved finishing drawings, material schedules, samples, inspection records and site instructions.
Prepare finishing progress and technical reports.
Maintain snag lists and track outstanding finishing works to closure.
Support preparation of as-built information and project handover documentation.
Report delays, quality concerns and technical issues promptly.
