Finance Officer at Learning Through Skills Acquisition Initiative – LETSAI
Learning through Skills Acquisition Initiative (LETSAI) is a youth-led, women-focused non-profit organization established in June 2015. LOCATION: Lokoja field office, Kogi State.
DURATION: 1 year subject to renewal
Project Scope:
This project will directly target persons with disabilities, their family members and other community structures, the state and local government ministries, departments and agencies, Civil Society Organizations including Organization of People with Disabilities (OPDs), Women and girls, Community Health Workers and community members in Kogi state.
The project is equally a deliberate focus on strengthening the capacity of OPDS, CSOs, FBOs, government stakeholders and media platforms to understand and implement disability law in Kogi State using a structured multi-sectorial and Community-Based Inclusive Development approach to reinforce awareness of the rights of persons with disabilities.
General Position Summary Finance Officer:
Maintain financial/accounting records and system of the project
Ensure compliance with financial provisions of the contract
Guide fund utilization and monitor budgetary spending
Make payments of activities
Represent the organisation on meetings on finance/fund management
Generate and submit financial reports on schedule
Administration
Managing administrative documentation and filing systems.
Coordinating office activities and maintaining records.
Assisting in preparation of internal reports and correspondence.
Monitoring compliance with administrative procedures.
Essential
A degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics with at least two years of post-qualification experience.
A professional qualification such as ACA, CNA, or any other foreign qualification like ACCA, CIMA is an added advantage
A solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
Experience in using financial software like QuickBooks, ProMISetc
Advanced MS Excel skills
Knowledge of financial and tax regulations
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
Desirable
Honesty and integrity are desired attributes in this role. Multitasking and ability to work under pressure.
