Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fibre Optics Technician.The Fiber Optic Technician is part of the tech team responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic network systems within a 20 kilometer OLT coverage radius.
The role ensures seamless connectivity and reliable technical services for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Install, test, and maintain fiber optic cables and networks
Perform splicing, termination, and troubleshooting
Respond to service calls and resolve connectivity issues
Collaborate with sales and customer support teams
Conduct regular maintenance checks and upgrades
Implement system expansions and upgrades
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and technical standards Skills & Attributes
Strong technical knowledge of OLTs and fiber tools
Dedicated, detail-oriented, and reliable
Ensures service reliability and minimal downtime

Qualifications

Minimum: Diploma
Experience: 3 years (mid-level)
Proven experience as fibre Optics Technician or in similarly telecommunications/network role.
Good understanding of fibre optic principles, cable types, connectors, and network architecture.
Ability to read technical drawings and network layouts.
Good communication , teamwork, and problem- solving skills.
Ability to work independently and meet with deadlines.
