The Facility Officer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of the organization’s buildings and infrastructure.
The role involves coordinating repairs, managing service providers, and maintaining a safe and functional work environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and utilities
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Conduct routine inspections and implement preventive maintenance plans
Supervise vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers
Manage facility-related budgets and control costs
Coordinate cleaning, security, and waste management services
Respond to facility issues and emergencies in a timely manner
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and service activities
Ensure proper functioning of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Qualification
Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc. in Engineering, Estate Management, Facility Management, or related fields.
Other Requirements:
High level of integrity and professionalism
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies
Flexibility to work outside regular hours when required
Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
