We are currently seeking a highly competent and experienced professional to join our team as Environmental Manager.
The Environmental Manager will lead our environmental projects, ensure full regulatory compliance, and drive sustainable solutions for clients across oil & gas, industrial, government and private sectors.
This is a strategic role responsible for overseeing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), waste management initiatives, environmental studies, Laboratory operations co-ordination and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), environmental audits, and monitoring projects.
Develop and implement robust environmental management systems, EMP and policies.
Oversee waste management programs, including design and execution of treatment and remediation solutions.
Coordinate environmental studies, baseline surveys, and pollution control projects.
Manage multidisciplinary project teams and ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
Liaise with regulatory agencies (e.g., NESREA, NUPRC, FMEnv) to secure approvals and maintain compliance.
Support business development through technical proposals and client engagement.
Champion sustainability and renewable energy initiatives within the organization.
Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree an advantage) in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years verifiable post-qualification experience in environmental services.
Strong expertise in EIA/ESIA, Waste Management, Environmental Studies, or Environmental Project Management.
Professional certifications (e.g., IEMA, NESREA, NEBOSH, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
Proven track record of managing environmental projects in Nigeria, preferably in the oil & gas or industrial sectors.
Excellent leadership, communication, report-writing, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and deliver under pressure.
Willingness to travel and work across project locations.
