The Director of Research provides strategic leadership and oversees all research-related operations in line with the University's Research Policy.
The Director of Research leads and oversees a team of researchers, guiding strategic
research initiatives and driving high-quality research.
The role involves developing and implementing research strategies, managing projects, and ensuring the timely delivery of research findings.
The Director reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor and works in close collaboration with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, RISA (Research, Innovation, Strategy & Administration).

Requirements

Candidate must possess a Ph.D. Degree in a relevant field (Economics, Social Sciences, Data Sciences, etc.) with a minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant post-qualification experience at the university level or its equivalent.
The Ideal candidate must have registered 7-10 patents and possess strong leadership and team management capabilities, foistering a culture of innovation and excellence.
