Clinical Manager – Hospital Operations at Genesis Specialist Hospital
Genesis Hospital has a leading surgical center in Lagos with the state of the art operating room, including an array of surgical services.Genesis Specialist Hospital is seeking an experienced and highly organized clinical manager to oversee the day-to-day coordination and management of our clinical and patient-care operations.
Salary Range: ₦300,000–₦650,000/month, depending on professional background, specialty, experience, and leadership/administrative experience.
THE ROLE
The clinical manager will serve as the operational lead for patient-care activities, coordinating the patient journey from the front desk through consultation, investigations, admission, treatment, discharge, and follow-up.
The role requires someone who can combine clinical knowledge with strong leadership and administrative ability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee daily inpatient and outpatient clinical operations
Coordinate patient care from registration through discharge and follow-up
Supervise nurses, nursing assistants, laboratory staff, physiotherapists, and other clinical support staff
Ensure physician orders, investigations, treatments, referrals, and consultations are carried out promptly.
Monitor admitted patients and actively follow up on outstanding clinical activities
Coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges, and follow-up care
Address delays, complaints, communication gaps, and other issues affecting patient care
Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, performance, professionalism, and accountability
Ensure appropriate clinical documentation and compliance with hospital policies, patient-safety standards, and infection-control practices
Provide regular clinical and operational reports to hospital management
Identify inefficiencies and implement practical improvements in patient care and hospital workflow
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Professional qualification in medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, or another relevant clinical discipline
Current professional registration/licensure
Minimum 3 years post-qualification clinical experience, preferably in a hospital environment
Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, administrative, or patient-care coordination experience
Strong understanding of inpatient and outpatient clinical operations
Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable supervising multidisciplinary teams and holding staff accountable
Previous experience as a medical officer, senior nurse, ward/unit manager, clinical coordinator, senior physiotherapist, departmental lead, or similar position is an advantage.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of patient-care operations.
Patients should receive timely and coordinated care. Staff should know what is expected of them. Outstanding clinical tasks should be actively followed up. Problems should be identified early, resolved promptly, and escalated appropriately when necessary.
