In 1951, the refreshing wave of Coca-Cola arrived in Nigeria and has remained a hit with consumers across the country. Packages Coca-Cola is available in: 35cl and 50cl classic glass contour bottle; 33cl on-the-go Can, 50cl and 1.5L PET bottle. Ingredients Carbonated water, sugar, Carbon-dioxide, caffeine, Phosphoric acid, caramel color and flavouring.
About the Role
The Macallan Brand Ambassador’s role is to engage and build strategic partnerships with top influencer groups, High Net Worth consumers and media, by bringing The Macallan “world” to life.
They are required to inspire, educate, and recruit these audiences with unique and impactful experiences. The role focuses on increasing brand visibility, building long-term high-value relationships, and providing unique & exclusive experience.
As a secondary focus, The Macallan Brand Ambassador supports major brand initiatives, and helps deliver targeted portfolio performance.
The role will involve extensive event hosting (such as wine tasting, exclusive parties) and travel within the region of location, and to Scotland to liaise with the global brand and distillery teams and host key influencer visits.
Your Key Responsibilities
As the Brand Ambassador, you will be the face of The Macallan brand in Nigeria with a focus on Lagos and you are responsible for the education and engagement of consumers, influencer groups, media and internal/external stakeholders.
Specifically, you are accountable for (but not limited to):
Consumer Facing & Engagement:
Acting as our in-market authority on The Macallan brand and whisky category by conducting whisky tastings and hosting unique brand experiences.
Supporting the planning and execution of experiential events and implementing The Macallan’s internal and consumer engagement platform.
Conduct pre-event meetings with venue management, chefs etc to ensure marketing code adherence throughout every touchpoint.
Representing The Macallan at priority media and consumer events
Influencer & Media Outreach:
Influencer and media engagement in their Key City.
Building influencer networks, including collectors and professional groups, captured on The Macallan’s CRM tool.
Drive towards The Macallan social media channels, adhering to brand social media guidelines and plans.
Working with retained agencies to engage and build relations with relevant media and influencers.
Ensure all influencers and agencies are fully briefed on the Edrington marketing code to avoid any breaches at all activities.
Trade Facing:
Delivering bespoke education and building elevated brand confidence within priority trade accounts, inspiring brand advocacy, and ensuring the front-of-mind presence
Working collaboratively to identify opportunities and recommend change as required
Building relationships and trust of key decision makers (e.g., beverage directors, buyers, bar staff)
Creating and demonstrating The Macallan serves and rituals to prioritize Prestige accounts.
Liaising with The Macallan Marketing and Education teams to implement a range of marketing activations and communications that are in line with brand DNA and objectives.
Identifying key brand building initiatives for The Macallan in collaboration with local commercial teams.
The management and most efficient use of their annual Travel & Expense and activation budget.
Reporting & communication:
input into Edrington reports to support the SBM’s monthly report submissions.
Be prepared to present on activities carried out throughout the month on internal and or external business calls.
Requirements
is this you:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, or any related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in experiential marketing, luxury brands sales and marketing, hospitality, premium spirits, or high-end sales.
Experience working with luxury brand (Wine & Spirits, Art, Exotic cars) and their clientele
Social connections with Influencer communities in key markets
Proven access to HNWIs and elite social circles.
An understanding of brand strategy, the luxury industry and the levers that drive both.
Ability to use technology seamlessly in presentations.
Experience hosting high-end brand or experiential events, Inspiring public speaking and presentation skills coupled with strong influencing and negotiating skills
It would be advantageous if you have:
Previous experience as a Brand Ambassador
Luxury spirits industry or hospitality experience
Fluency in additional languages
Brand messaging and positioning knowledge
Formal Media training
