We are seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking Assistant Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations within our agro-industrial facility.
The successful candidate will assist with sample collection, preparation, basic laboratory testing, documentation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in collecting and preparing samples of raw materials, production materials, and finished products for laboratory analysis.
Conduct basic laboratory tests under the supervision of the Laboratory Technician or Quality Control Officer.
Label, record, and properly store samples and test results.
Assist with the preparation and cleaning of laboratory equipment and work areas.
Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
Support quality control activities and ensure samples are handled according to established procedures.
Report abnormal results, contamination, or other quality issues to the supervisor.
Follow all laboratory, health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Assist with inventory and proper storage of laboratory reagents and materials.

Requirements

Minimum of OND/SSCE in Science, Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
1–2 years of relevant laboratory or agro-industry experience.
Experience in an agro-processing, feed mill, food processing, or agricultural laboratory is an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and sample handling.
Good attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to work in a production/agro-industrial environment.
