The Artificial Intelligence Tutor will design and deliver engaging lessons that introduce learners to AI concepts, tools, and real-world applications.
Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing curriculum materials, teaching in small groups and larger classes, supervising hands-on projects, and providing constructive feedback on assignments.
The tutor will support learners through one-on-one mentorship, help them build practical portfolios, and collaborate with other instructors to ensure courses remain current and relevant.
This is a full-time, gender-neutral, non-discriminatory position based in Ibadan, offered as a hybrid role with a mix of on-site teaching and some work-from-home flexibility.
The tutor will also participate in assessments, continuous course improvement, and occasional workshops or events for students and partner organizations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong knowledge of artificial intelligence fundamentals, including machine learning concepts, data handling, and basic algorithms.
Candidates should possess practical experience with AI tools and workflows, such as Python-based libraries, data analysis environments, and model evaluation practices.
Candidates should possess teaching, coaching, or mentoring skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly to beginners and intermediate learners.
Candidates should possess curriculum development and lesson-planning skills, including creating project-based learning activities and assessments.
Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an inclusive approach to teaching diverse learners in both physical and virtual classrooms.
Candidates should ideally have prior experience in tech education, bootcamps, or training programs; industry experience in AI or data-related roles is an added advantage.
Candidates should hold a relevant academic background (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
Candidates should demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary education team.
