Architects at HTL Africa
HTL Africa afro-centric architecture office deploys a commitment to simultaneously think, research and build at different scales and typologies. Our latest body of work, affordacity: a future african city envisioned around enterprise and sustainability was recently exhibited at the Goethe Institut Lagos and was the subject of a lecture delivered by Head of Design, James George at the University of Pennsylvania. Our work is organised around two hubs in Lagos and Johannesburg.HTL Africa Ltd is looking to hire Architects for our Lagos, Nigeria office with the following responsibilities:
Design projects: Work with other architect(s) and the Head of design on ideas and projects. This includes planning and designing alongside a team of Architects and engineers, brainstorming project ideas, completing design/ working drawings, model making and assisting in reviewing project proposals.
Design and working drawings: The architect will be responsible for working on design and working drawings assigned to him or her.
Research: The architect will be responsible for researching on projects worked on and bringing in fresh perspectives.
Paperwork and documentation: The Architect will be responsible for completing and filing the paperwork used in the design process. The job holder will help create proposals and complete construction paperwork for buildings.
Project tracking: The job holder will ensure that projects follow legal specifications and company procedures, he/she will ensure all required documents and paperwork are submitted before the construction process starts and will provide updates when requested.
Ad-hoc responsibilities: Effectively manage ad-hoc duties as assigned by the senior architect(s) and Head of Design.
