Administrative Assistant Intern at SNV

We aim to make a lasting difference in the lives of people around the world.SNV Nigeria is seeking a recruit Administrative Assistant for Internship/National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for its Country Programme, to provide day-to-day key administrative and programme support. The Officer will be responsible for the supporting with general administration, operational activities and support project teams.
Purpose of the internship Placement
In your role as a Administrative Assistant, you will gain practical experience in administration, general operations, stakeholder coordination and programme implementation within an international development organisation. The intern will be based in Abuja, work with the Operations Officer and Country Programme team. These includes working with Programme Managers, Advisors and project teams across SNV Nigeria’s portfolio, contributing to a range of initiatives that strengthens SNV’s objectives and visibility.
The intern will report to the Operations Officer and will take on, a mix of recurring administrative tasks within the dynamic programmes. Each week will offer opportunities to learn, co-create, and contribute in meaningful ways. Job Description
General Administrative Support
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Country office and project teams.
Prepare meeting logistics, attendance sheets, agendas and minutes.
Support travel arrangements, hotel bookings and related logistics for staff, consultants and project participants.
Maintain organised electronic and physical filing systems in line with SNV procedures for country programme and projects, including data management and filing.
Support the preparation, processing and tracking of administrative forms and requests.
Provide any other administrative support as required by the office program.
Programme and Project Support
Support Program and Project team with meetings, workshops and related events.
Assist with collecting and organising programme data; and maintaining comprehensive data on the various projects partners and clients.
Assist with preparing project-related documents, presentations, trackers and reports.
Support the preparation of project documentation for internal review and reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or HND in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Management, Public Administration, Development Studies, Social Sciences or a related field.
NYSC member with valid deployment to Abuja and graduates with a maximum of 1-2 year of post-NYSC work experience.
Previous administrative, operational, project or office-support experience is an advantage but not essential.
