Job Sumary
One of our clients in the retail industry is looking for an Accountant (Reconciliation & Audit Support) to support a short-term finance and audit project.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing account reconciliations, investigating historical transactions, preparing audit support schedules, and assisting with ERP migration and tax audit activities.
Responsibilities
Perform detailed reconciliations of bank, control, and balance sheet accounts.
Investigate and resolve historical reconciling items and outstanding transactions.
Prepare audit support schedules and maintain supporting documentation.
Compile and organize documents required for tax audits and regulatory reviews.
Reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, and intercompany balances.
Support data cleansing and validation activities for ERP migration.
Maintain reconciliation trackers, issue logs, and progress reports.
Support month-end close activities and assist in resolving audit queries.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong reconciliation and financial data analysis skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience using ERP systems.
Ability to work with large volumes of financial transactions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
