The company’s strategic land acquisitions along major dams is very pivotal to the farm’s operations.We are looking for an experienced Accountant who takes ownership of financial processes, pays exceptional attention to detail, and is passionate about accuracy and accountability. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and capable of producing reliable financial information that supports sound business decisions.
This role is suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands that every number tells a story.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Maintain complete and accurate accounting records.
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Reconcile bank accounts, ledgers, and balance sheet accounts regularly.
Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow reports.
Process payroll and statutory remittances where applicable.
Prepare budgets and monitor actual performance against budget.
Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation.
Develop and maintain strong internal financial controls.
Identify financial risks and recommend practical solutions.
Collaborate with department heads to improve financial planning and cost efficiency.
Prepare management reports that provide meaningful business insights.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
ACA, ACCA, or ICAN qualification is required.
Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, agriculture, FMCG, or a related industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
