St. Joseph’s Physiotherapy Clinics is a privately-owned physical therapy practice in Nigeria. Currently with two clinic locations at Lekki phase 1 and Surulere, Lagos which have provided premium services to the Lekki, victoria island, lagos island, Surulere, Yaba, Gbagada, Ikeja and Ikoyi communities since 2019.About the Role
We are seeking a competent, detailoriented, and highly organized Account Officer to support our financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, account reconciliations, statutory compliance, accounts management, and revenue assurance through effective monitoring and reconciliation of HMOrelated transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper posting of transactions into the accounting system.
Prepare periodic financial reports, reconciliations, schedules, and management reports.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments, invoicing, and debt recovery.
Process and remit statutory deductions and taxes in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Support internal and external audit activities by preparing and providing relevant documentation.
Monitor, reconcile, and follow up on HMO claims, payments, capitations, and outstanding balances.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies relating to patient billing, insurance claims, and HMO settlements.
Liaise with HMOs and other stakeholders to ensure timely processing and recovery of claims.
Prepare monthly reconciliation reports and ensure all financial transactions are accurately accounted for.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other financerelated activities as assigned by management.
Requirements
HND or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in accounting, finance, reconciliations, or healthcare financial operations.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
Knowledge of HMO billing, claims processing, and healthcare revenue management is an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
Experience using accounting software and financial management systems.
Strong analytical, communication, and problemsolving skills.
Must reside within Lagos Mainland, preferably Surulere or its environs.
