The Technical Superintendent will serve as the day-to-day technical lead for our client's five-vessel fleet in Nigeria. The role is responsible for vessel attendance, planned maintenance, defect rectification, repairs, contractor supervision, technical procurement, class and flag coordination, and maintaining the fleet's technical readiness, safety, and compliance.

Safety, Compliance and Vetting
Stakeholder and Operational Management

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of two years served at Chief Engineer level, or three years as Second Engineer while holding a Class 1 (Motor) certificate.
Progressive experience in the engine department of tankers or comparable vessels, including at least 10 years as a certificated officer. Cadet and rating time may be recognised as sea service but does not count toward the certificated-officer requirement.
Certificate of Competency as Chief Engineer Officer (STCW III/2, Class 1 Motor) or Second Engineer (STCW III/2) with a clear route to Class 1, issued or endorsed by a recognized Administration.
Demonstrable command of medium-speed diesel machinery relevant to vessels in the 1,200–17,000 DWT range.
