The successful candidate will help students develop a strong appreciation of literature while improving their analytical, interpretive, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities
Teach prescribed literary texts and relevant literary concepts.
Develop students' critical reading and analytical abilities.
Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
Conduct literary discussions and activities.
Set and mark assessments.
Support students in developing strong written responses.
Requirements
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (B.Ed., B.Sc / B.A with PGDE) or NCE in the relevant field.
TRCN registration or evidence of registration will be an added advantage.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Sound knowledge of modern teaching methods and digital learning tools.
A strong passion for child development and academic excellence.
Good moral character and integrity.
A strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
Ability to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
Commitment to the academic, personal, social, and character development of students.
Relevant teaching experience will be an added advantage.
