Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the reliable operation, monitoring and first level troubleshooting of all electrical systems during operations. This includes switch gear, transformers, MCCs, breakers, and power distribution panels. The role is critical to electrical power supply, safety, and compliance with operational standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor and operate electrical switch gear, transformers, and control systems.
Supervise the operation of DG sets, battery chargers, and auxiliary systems.
Coordinates electrical load distributions and synchronization with the grid/plant.
Respond to alarms, trips, and voltage fluctuations promptly.
Perform first-level troubleshooting and escalate critical faults.
Inspect electrical panels, cabling, and switchboards for safety and performance.
Ensure proper functioning of interlocks, relays and protection systems.
Reviewing electrical records, parameters and events in logbooks and shift reports.
Guide and supervise electrical technicians and switchboard operators during the shift.
Educational Qualification and Work Experience
Shall hold the minimum of B.Eng Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
Electrical Licensing/Competency Certification.
Minimum +15 years in Sugar industrial electrical operations.
