This permanent position offers 22.5 hours per week with competitive salary of up to £38,000 per annum pro rata depending on skills and experience. Our Bristol Hospital – The Chesterfield combines leading-edge clinical facilities with an outstanding customer experience. This 30 private bed hospital houses 3 digital theatres and is equipped with the latest equipment designed to meet the needs of all our patients. The hospital’s location on 3 Clifton Hill provides a beautiful working environment in the heart of Bristol.
Position Details
This Staff Nurse position is part of our ward team and offers a unique opportunity to work in a consultant-led environment. As a part-time member of our nursing team, you will work 22.5 hours per week, including weekend work. The permanent contract provides stability while offering a manageable work-life balance.
Role Responsibilities
As a Ward Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while working alongside some of the best clinical talent in the healthcare industry. Your duties will include:
- Being flexible, motivated, and an excellent communicator and team worker
- Joining a close-knit team headed by our matron on our consultant-led ward
- Fully understanding and paying close attention to each patient’s needs
- Gaining valuable experience of new practices, equipment and facilities
- Collaborating with practitioners across other departments to ensure continuity in patient care

Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must be registered with the appropriate governing body and bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration. You should be alert, focused, detail-oriented and empathetic in your approach to patient care.
Essential Experience
We require candidates with post-registration experience who demonstrate they are team players with a passion for exceptional patient care. Your previous experience should show your ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare environment and maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
Language Requirements
English language proficiency is essential for this role, as you will need to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals. All documentation and patient records will be in English, and you must be able to understand and follow complex medical instructions.
Disclosure and Barring Service
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. It will be necessary for a submission to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
