ABOUT THE JOB
The Automation Specialist (Utilities) is responsible for end-to-end ownership of the electrical and automation scope for utility and auxiliary systems within the facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, reliability improvement of electrical and automation systems associated with utility plants and general facilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations.
IS THIS YOU?
Minimum of HND/BSC in Electrical/Electronic or any related field.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Electrical and/or Automation Engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Ability to understand and apply process principles across machine sections and utility systems.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for overseeing all electrical and automation aspects of utility and facility systems, ensuring optimal performance and operational efficiency.
Handle troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving electrical and automation faults to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.
Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities while supporting electrical upgrades, system improvements, and continuous reliability initiatives.
Manage the operation, maintenance, and optimization of utility equipment and plant systems, including steam boilers, CO₂ production systems, chillers, compressors, water treatment, and wastewater treatment plants.
Oversee the reliability, safety, and performance of facility electrical and utility infrastructure to ensure efficient and uninterrupted plant operations.
Manage the maintenance, troubleshooting, and safe operation of LV/HV power distribution systems, including transformers, RMUs, switchgears, and electrical installations in compliance with safety standards.
Handle automation and control systems by interpreting electrical drawings and single line diagrams and performing basic troubleshooting of Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC systems.
Maintain PLC/HMI backups for system recovery readiness and coordinate with OEMs and contractors for effective support and system optimization.
Support root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment and system failures.
Ensure availability and effective management of critical spares for utility electrical and automation systems.
Support digitalization and Industry 4.0 initiatives, including remote monitoring and dashboard systems
