This role is designed to provide structured training equipping you with the skills and experience needed to develop into a Marine Warranty Surveyor. You will work alongside experienced professionals, supporting the delivery of high-quality technical work across Marine Warranty Surveying, Asset Integrity, and Offshore Engineering activities. From day one, you’ll be involved in tasks such as data collection, preliminary analysis, and drafting technical reports, while also getting the opportunity to participate in site and offshore visits under supervision.
What will you be doing?
Support the preparation of technical inputs across marine engineering projects, taking on increasing responsibility as time progresses.
Contribute to technical report writing, producing initial drafts and analyses for review.
Undertake analytical tasks of increasing complexity, including developing and maintaining spreadsheets and databases.
Attend client meetings with senior colleagues and provide support where required.
Collaborate effectively within teams to deliver solutions and resolve moderately complex challenges.
Deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timelines and liaise with clients to support successful project outcomes.
Ensure all deliverables comply with ABL Group’s internal procedures and policies.
Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as required.
What are we looking for?
Role
You’ll be degree-qualified in an engineering discipline such as Marine, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or Naval Architecture, with a clear motivation to build a long-term career in the offshore or marine sector. This role is designed for someone at an early stage in their career who is keen to learn, develop, and grow. We are also looking for:
Around 2 years’ relevant work experience.
Completion of Nigerian NYSC.
A solid foundation in engineering principles and practices.
The ability to apply standard engineering methods, tools, and techniques.
An interest in offshore or marine operations, with any exposure to engineering analysis tools considered an advantage.
Previous internship or industrial training within maritime, offshore, or energy sectors (desirable).
Basic familiarity with engineering design tools or marine operational environments (desirable).
