We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Account Officer to join our finance team in Abuja. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting overall financial operations.
This role requires strong analytical skills, integrity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
Prepare payroll schedules and ensure timely disbursement
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies
Handle invoicing, expense tracking, and financial documentation
Support internal and external audits
Maintain proper filing systems for financial documents (digital and physical)
Liaise with vendors, clients, and financial institutions when necessary
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years proven experience as an Account Officer or in a similar role
Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, Wave, or similar tools)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
