Position Overview
We are seeking industrial electricians to fill two permanent, full-time positions at our Inglewood, ON location (L7C 0T6). These positions offer competitive compensation at $40.50 per hour, working 30 to 40 hours per week. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities
As an industrial electrician with Elite Electrical Solutions Ltd., your responsibilities will include assembling fiber-optic and coaxial cables, installing and calibrating industrial instrumentation and related devices, and installing various electrical components such as wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, and lighting fixtures.
Daily Tasks
You will be responsible for replacing or repairing electrical components, testing electrical and electronic equipment for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance. Additionally, you’ll maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors to ensure optimal performance of industrial electrical systems.
Equipment Maintenance
Your role will involve maintaining, repairing, testing, and installing electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems. This hands-on work is critical to ensuring our clients’ operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Troubleshooting
A significant part of your position will involve troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices. Your problem-solving skills will be essential in diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
Code Compliance
>You’ll interpret electrical code specifications to ensure all work complies with Canadian electrical codes and standards. This includes reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
Documentation
As part of your responsibilities, you’ll conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep detailed maintenance records. This documentation is crucial for ensuring safety, compliance, and continuous improvement of our electrical systems.
Compensation and Benefits
