We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Officer to manage the company’s legal affairs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive effective debt recovery processes.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in safeguarding the company’s legal interests while supporting business operations and revenue protection.
Responsibilities
Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, and operational matters
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and SLAs with clients and vendors
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
Manage litigation, disputes, and external counsel where required
Monitor legal risks and advise management on mitigation
Work closely with Finance and Operations teams to initiate and manage legal proceedings for recovery of debts
Support internal policy development and governance frameworks
Assist with regulatory filings, licenses, and statutory documentation
Provide legal support for HR matters, including disciplinary actions and employment disputes
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B)
Call to the Nigerian Bar (BL) and active membership of the NBA
Minimum of 3–5 years post-call experience, preferably in a corporate or security services environment
Proven experience in debt recovery, credit control, and litigation
Strong knowledge of Nigerian commercial and labor laws – Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
