A Hotel Gardener maintains the aesthetic appeal of hotel landscapes, ensuring lush, vibrant greenery. Responsibilities include planting, pruning, watering, and general upkeep of gardens, lawns, and other outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities

Plant, water, and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees in the hotel garden
Mow and edge lawns, trim hedges, and remove weeds
Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment
Monitor and control pests and diseases in the garden
Coordinate with the hotel management and other staff to ensure the garden is attractive and well-maintained
Ensure the garden area is clean and free of debris
Assist with outdoor event set-up and decoration
Perform other gardening-related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

Candidates should possess a minimum of SSCE qualification with at least 1-2 years of experience in gardening or landscaping
Knowledge of plant care and maintenance
Ability to operate and maintain garden equipment, such as lawnmowers and trimmer
Attention to detail and ability to ensure a clean and well-maintained garden area
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Good communication skills to interact with guests and other hotel staff
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the job.
