The HR Associate supports the Human Resources department in implementing HR policies, managing recruitment processes, maintaining employee records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations within the furniture manufacturing environment.
The role also focuses on workforce management, especially artisans, factory workers, and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in sourcing and recruiting skilled furniture artisans (carpenters, upholsterers, polishers) and factory staff.
Screen applications, schedule interviews, and coordinate hiring processes.
Conduct background checks and reference verification.
Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new employees.
Maintain and update employee files (physical and digital).
Prepare employment contracts, confirmation letters, and other HR documents.
Track employee attendance, leave, and absenteeism.
Ensure proper documentation of staff across factory and office locations.
Support payroll preparation by providing accurate employee data (attendance, overtime, deductions).
Assist in administering employee benefits and welfare programs.
Assist in resolving workplace conflicts and disciplinary issues.
Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Promote a positive work environment across factory and office staff.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Assist in performance appraisal processes for staff.
Monitor probationary employees and support confirmation processes.
Maintain performance records and reports.
Prepare HR reports (headcount, turnover, attendance).
Support HR projects and initiatives.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
2–4 years of HR experience (preferably in manufacturing or production environment).
