A Civil and Structural Lead oversees the design, analysis, and execution of civil/structural projects, ensuring compliance with standards, budgets, and schedules.
They supervise teams, review technical drawings, and coordinate with stakeholders for infrastructure projects.
Typically requires a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, 10+ years' experience, and expertise in software like STAAD.Pro and Revit.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering: Prepare, check, and approve structural analyses, calculations, and detailed designs for steel and concrete structures.
Project Management: Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for the civil/structural team.
Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor junior engineers, providing technical expertise and ensuring adherence to design codes and standards.
Construction Support: Conduct site inspections, resolve technical field issues, and review vendor/subcontractor documents.
Coordination: Act as the main point of contact, coordinating with internal teams, architects, and multidisciplinary teams (mechanical/electrical).
Quality & Safety: Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) objectives and quality standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, and 3D modeling software.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of local/international building codes and construction methods.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership abilities.
