Key Responsibilities
As a Heavy-Duty Cleaner, your primary responsibilities will include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing hallways, floors, and stairs. You will operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse from various surfaces. Emptying trash cans and other waste containers is also a regular part of your duties.
Cleaning Tasks
You will be responsible for washing windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and professional appearance. Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and fixtures is essential to ensure hygienic conditions. The position also includes washing and cleaning both interior and exterior windows and other glass surfaces to ensure they are streak-free and pristine.
Equipment Operation
Operating specialized cleaning equipment is a key aspect of this role. You will use carpet cleaning machines, polishing machines, waxing machines, steam cleaners, and upholstery cleaning equipment to maintain various surfaces. You will also operate finishing machines or equipment to trim, grind, or buff rubber products into final form as needed.
Seasonal Responsibilities
During winter months, you will be responsible for cleaning snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safety. This seasonal duty requires physical strength and the ability to work in various weather conditions. All necessary equipment for snow and ice removal will be provided by the company.
Maintenance Tasks
While primarily a cleaning position, you may be required to make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
