Key Responsibilities
As our Clinical Lead, you will conduct and organize the Clinical/Surgical and Endoscopy team within theatre, ensuring the smooth running of theatre lists and organizing booking forms. You will assist sessions in theatres and work collaboratively across theatre suites to accommodate service demands across various departments including Endoscopy, General, Orthopedics, and Gynaecology.
Clinical Leadership
You will promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and risk management, quality improvement, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed to enhance patient care and service delivery. This position requires extensive knowledge for dealing with audits and equipment, along with a solid understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment.

About Nuffield Health Newcastle Hospital
Located in Jesmond, you will be working at one of the north east’s leading private hospitals, with a Good CQC rating. Our facility features 27 en-suite private bedrooms, 3 state-of-the-art operating theatres, and a dedicated breast care unit. We offer on-site pathology services and diagnostic imaging including CT and MRI, along with on-site physiotherapy specialists to help patients after surgery.

Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must be registered with the appropriate governing body and have relevant qualifications with post-registration experience in surgery/anaesthetics. This includes holding registration as either a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner.
Essential Experience
Post-registration experience in surgery/anaesthetics is essential for this role. You must demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Knowledge and understanding of running a smooth and effective department with proper equipment management is also required.
