Key Responsibilities
As a Ward Manager at our Leicester Hospital, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of our ward department. This includes leading a team of highly qualified nurses, ensuring we deliver excellent patient care, and using your existing knowledge to help shape a superior patient experience. Working Environment
Our Leicester Hospital features 28 ensuite inpatient beds, 2 laminar flow theatres, an Endoscopy Suite, minor treatment room, and 14 consulting rooms. We have invested significantly in our facilities, including a static MRI unit, a new digital X-ray room, and digital mammography equipment since 2015. As a local centre of excellence for Children and Young People Services, we maintain close working relationships with our Fitness & Wellbeing Gym in Leicester, having been a forerunner for the Nuffield recovery plus programme.
Qualifications Required
To be considered for this Ward Manager position, you must be a qualified RGN (Registered General Nurse) with current NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration and hold a mentorship qualification. These essential qualifications demonstrate your professional standing and ability to support the development of nursing staff within your team.
Essential Experience
You must have previous experience working as a Junior Sister, Charge Nurse, or Ward Manager. Considerable nursing management experience is essential for this role.
