Personal Skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team, initiative, enthusiasm, capacity to work under stress, flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances, honesty, reliability, an enquiring and critical approach to work, and a caring attitude toward patients.

This provides exceptional support for our Acute Medical service with daily inreach from main medical specialties and ad hoc review from others following referral.
Management Responsibilities
The role includes evidence of participation in Audit and Clinical Governance Programmes, ability to manage and lead a clinical team, manage risk, manage change, deal with complaints, maintain commitment to CPD/CME, participate in appraisal, demonstrate experience in audit & clinical governance, and show working knowledge of evidence-based practice.
Research and Teaching
Applicants should demonstrate ability to appraise research critically and apply research outcomes to clinical and organisational problems, supervise junior staff undertaking research projects, and teach clinical and generic skills.
