As this is Bank work, it operates on an ‘as and when’ basis with no guaranteed hours, providing flexibility for GPs who may have other commitments or prefer to work on an ad-hoc basis.

In addition to these core responsibilities, you will be expected to provide triage where required in the Initial Assessment Unit, where walk-in patients are both streamed, seen and treated as needed. You will also provide complete consultations with assessment, treatment and management of patients of all ages presenting with primary care problems at the UCC.
Job Responsibilities
Your clinical responsibilities will include recording full clinical notes using the UCC IT systems and completing coding requirements on the clinical record in line with Trust and North Middlesex University Hospital requirements. You will complete all administrative work relating to consultations and work as part of the wider clinical team, supporting Nurse Practitioners, HCAs, and GP colleagues while training Doctors.
You will manage referrals of UCC patients to acute specialties, A&E or community services where required, and support the redirection of patients to their registered GP where appropriate. As part of your role, you will provide education to patients on healthy living and disease prevention, as well as educating patients on appropriate use of NHS services.
Prescribing medicines in accordance with UCC formulary and dispensing medicines from stock where available will be part of your responsibilities.
