Lake City, Florida, The Gainesville VA is currently seeking a full-time Physician to join the North Florida/South Georgia VA Medical Center Psychiatry Service as a Psychiatrist serving at the Lake City VA Medical Center, in Lake City, Florida. The primary role for this position will focus on the care of Veterans as part of an integrated team of psychiatrists, mid-level practitioners, nurses, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers and clerks.
Office Hours: 8 – 4:30 pm, Monday -Friday

The duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide general adult psychiatric care.
Conduct diagnostic evaluations, psychiatric consults, medication management, and individual or group psychotherapy.
Provide direct clinical supervision of advanced practice nurses or physician assistants and other staff as appropriate.
Establish professional working relationships with other clinical service providers within the medical center and outlying clinics.
Provide telephone and e-consult consultations as needed.
Expected to cooperate with and participate in medical duties or functions related to quality of care, peer review, and other performance improvement activities as directed.

Physician salaries can only be approved by the facility director and are determined by several factors including location, assignment (inpatient vs outpatient), training, experience, board certification, etc.
In addition to your total salary, you will also be eligible to earn up to an additional 7.5% of your salary (not to exceed $15,000) each year in Pay for Performance (P4P). This consists of goals set by your supervisor and will be discussed with you upon employment orientation.
