Compensation Package
We offer a competitive hourly wage of $36.00 per hour, with an expected workload of 35 to 40 hours per week. This full-time position provides stable income with opportunities for overtime as needed. Key Responsibilities
As a truck driver with RAPID FORCE TRANSPORT, your responsibilities will include:
Transportation Operations
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently to their designated destinations. You will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism throughout your journey.
Loading and Unloading
Safely load and unload goods at various locations, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit. This includes verifying cargo documentation and ensuring compliance with all relevant transportation regulations.
Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection
Oversee the condition of your assigned vehicle, conducting thorough inspections of tires, lights, brakes, cold storage equipment, and other mechanical components. You will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is always in optimal working condition.
Emergency Repairs
>Perform emergency roadside repairs when necessary, including basic troubleshooting and maintenance to address minor mechanical issues that may occur during transit. Your ability to handle these situations promptly helps minimize downtime and ensures continued service reliability.
Preventive Maintenance
Perform regular preventive maintenance on your assigned vehicle to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This includes checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and addressing minor issues before they escalate into major problems that could affect your schedule.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate and detailed records including driver logbooks, inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports. You will also record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption for compliance and operational purposes.
Communication
Receive and relay information to central dispatch, providing timely updates on your location, status, and any issues that may arise during your route. Effective communication is essential for coordinating operations and ensuring smooth workflow.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Licensing and Certification
Valid AZ class license is required for this position. Candidates must possess a clean driving record and be able to demonstrate experience operating commercial vehicles. If you are new to Canada, we can provide guidance on the process of obtaining or transferring your commercial license.
Experience Requirements
Previous experience as a truck driver is preferred. Candidates should have experience with maintaining detailed documentation including driver logbooks, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports.
