Key Responsibilities

As a Truck Driver at Hirt’s Vacuum Truck Service Ltd., you will be responsible for:

• Planning or adjusting routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS equipment, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Addressing customers’ complaints or concerns with professionalism
• Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
• Overseeing the condition of the vehicle and inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
• Performing emergency roadside repairs when necessary
• Conducting pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and overseeing all aspects of the vehicle
• Performing preventive maintenance as required
• Receiving and relaying information to central dispatch
• Recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
• Transporting and handling dangerous goods in compliance with all regulations

Work Environment

Our work environment is safety-focused and team-oriented. Drivers will spend time both on the road and at our facility in High Level.
