Position Overview
We are seeking a Physiotherapy Helper to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $25.00 CAD and provides an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals to gain hands-on experience in the Canadian healthcare system. The position is based on-site at our Calgary clinic and requires flexibility with various shifts including early morning, morning, evening, and night shifts, as well as on-call duties as needed.
Your Role as a Physiotherapy Helper
As a Physiotherapy Helper at Skyview Physiotherapy and Massage Clinic, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare team in delivering high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting healthcare professionals in various aspects of patient care, from assessment to treatment implementation. Daily Responsibilities
Your daily responsibilities will include assisting physicians in the assessment of patients, carrying out treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. You will follow through on treatment programs with patients, help physical therapists set up and dismantle equipment, and ensure all equipment is properly maintained and clean. Additionally, you will prepare and maintain equipment and supplies, maintain inventory, and ensure the cleanliness of collection areas throughout the clinic.
Administrative Duties
In addition to hands-on patient care, you will perform important administrative tasks including scheduling and confirming appointments, ordering supplies and equipment, and organizing and maintaining inventory. These administrative responsibilities are essential for the smooth operation of our clinic and will provide you with valuable experience in healthcare administration that is highly transferable to other healthcare settings.
Equipment Management
You will be responsible for the proper set-up and dismantling of physiotherapy equipment, ensuring all equipment is clean and maintained in optimal working condition. Patient Support
You will provide direct support to patients during their treatment sessions, helping them with exercises and following through on treatment programs as directed by the physiotherapists. Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this position, you must hold current CPR and First Aid certificates.
