Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at NPC NORTHLAND BUILDERS INC. in Revelstoke, BC. This is a permanent, full-time position offering competitive wages and comprehensive benefits. The ideal candidate will have experience in both interior and exterior painting, as well as wallpaper installation and surface preparation.
Location and Work Environment
The position is located at 2955 CAMOZZI ROAD in Revelstoke, BC V0E 2S1. Work is performed on-site at various construction and renovation projects throughout the Revelstoke area. Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive hourly wage of $30.00 per week for a 40-hour work week. Key Responsibilities
As a Painter at NPC NORTHLAND BUILDERS INC., you will be responsible for:
Surface Preparation
You will prepare, clean, and sand all surfaces that require painting to ensure proper adhesion and a smooth finish. This involves removing old paint, repairing cracks and holes, and applying necessary primers and sealants.
Paint Mixing and Application
Your duties will include mixing paint to achieve desired colors and textures, then applying these materials to interior and exterior surfaces using various techniques and tools. You will work with different types of paints, stains, and finishes to create the desired aesthetic effect.
Wallpaper Installation
You will measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric materials to walls according to specifications and client preferences. This requires precision and attention to detail to ensure proper alignment and a professional finish.
Client Consultation
As part of your role, you will advise consumers on color choices and selection of wall coverings based on their preferences, needs, and the characteristics of their space. Your expertise will help clients make informed decisions about their interior and exterior finishes.
Scaffolding and Safety
You will be responsible for erecting scaffolding and swing stages, as well as attaching necessary rigging to ensure safe work practices at elevated heights. Safety is our top priority, and all employees must adhere to strict safety protocols.
Quality Control
You will ensure that all work meets quality standards and specifications through careful attention to detail, proper application techniques, and thorough inspection of completed work.
Qualifications and Requirements

Technical Skills
Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation methods, and material properties is essential. Familiarity with various types of paints, stains, and wall coverings is required. Experience with both interior and exterior painting applications is preferred.
Physical Requirements

Working Conditions
This is a full-time position with work scheduled during early morning, morning, and day shifts. The job involves working on-site at various locations, which may include both residential and commercial properties. You will work in various weather conditions, especially for exterior painting projects.
