Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Light Duty Cleaner to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining clean and organized spaces and who want to contribute to a healthy environment for children.

Whitehorse, Yukon (Y1A 5M3) – On-site work location
Hours of Work
Full-time position (40 hours per week) with morning and day shifts. Schedule details will be confirmed with the successful candidate.
Start Date
Position available to start as soon as possible for the right candidate.
Compensation
Competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $23.00 per hour (to be negotiated based on experience and qualifications).
Key Responsibilities
As our Light Duty Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our daycare facility. Your responsibilities will include:
Floor Care
Sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing various floor surfaces throughout the facility to ensure they are clean, safe, and presentable.
Dusting
Thoroughly dusting furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to remove dust, allergens, and debris, creating a healthier environment for children and staff.
Carpet and Upholstery Care
Vacuuming carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to maintain cleanliness and extend the life of these materials.
Kitchen and Bathroom Maintenance
Cleaning, disinfecting, and polishing kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to ensure proper hygiene standards are met.
Waste Management
Picking up debris and emptying trash containers throughout the facility, ensuring proper waste disposal and recycling practices.
