Position Overview
We are currently seeking motivated individuals to fill Housekeeping Room Attendant positions at our Kelowna location. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering competitive compensation at $19.00 per hour for a 40-hour work week. Work Schedule
This position offers a flexible work schedule to accommodate our guests’ needs. The schedule includes early morning, morning, day, evening, night, weekend shifts, and on-call availability. While specific shift times will be discussed during the interview process, we work with our team members to create schedules that respect work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our guest rooms and common areas. Your responsibilities will include:
Duties Related to Floor Care
You will be responsible for sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing various types of flooring throughout the facility. This includes tile, hardwood, and carpeted areas. Attention to detail is essential to ensure that all floors are spotless and safe for our guests.
Upholstery and Soft Furnishings
Your role will involve dusting all furniture surfaces and vacuuming carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture. This helps to maintain a fresh, clean appearance in all guest rooms and common areas while contributing to a healthy indoor environment.
Bedding and Linens
Making beds and changing sheets is a core responsibility of this position. You will ensure that all bedding is clean, fresh, and properly arranged according to our established standards. This includes pillowcases, duvets, and all other linens used in guest accommodations.
Bathroom and Kitchen Maintenance
Cleaning, disinfecting, and polishing kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances is another key aspect of your role. This includes sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, countertops, and any kitchen appliances present in guest rooms or suites.
Specialized Cleaning Areas
In addition to regular guest rooms, you may be responsible for disinfecting operating rooms and other specialized areas, as well as cleaning and disinfecting elevators. These tasks require attention to detail and adherence to specific cleaning protocols.
Guest Services
Attending to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items is an important part of this role. You will serve as a point of contact for guest needs, providing towels, toiletries, and other amenities as requested while maintaining a professional and helpful demeanor.
Waste Management
Picking up debris and emptying trash containers throughout the facility is a routine but essential task. You will ensure that all waste is properly managed and that recycling guidelines are followed according to local regulations.
Lost and Found
Handling and reporting lost and found items is another responsibility you will undertake. This includes documenting found items securely and following established procedures to return them to their rightful owners.
Additional Facilities
Depending on the needs of the facility, you may also be responsible for cleaning changing rooms and showers. These areas require thorough cleaning and disinfecting to maintain hygiene standards for all users.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive hourly wage of $19.00 for this position.
