Job Description
We are seeking experienced and skilled Framers-Carpenters to join our construction team. As a Framer-Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the construction and renovation of residential properties. Key Responsibilities
As a Framer-Carpenter with Canadian Classic Touch Home Improvement Inc., your responsibilities will include preparing layouts in strict conformance to building codes, using various measuring tools to ensure precision. You will measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials according to project specifications and blueprints.
An important aspect of this role involves preparing tenders and quotations for various construction projects. You will be responsible for accurately estimating the scope of work, materials required, and associated costs. This requires strong attention to detail and knowledge of current material prices and construction methodologies.
You will be actively involved in the foundational aspects of construction, including building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems. These structural elements form the backbone of any building and require precision and expertise to ensure long-term durability and safety.
Additionally, you will be responsible for fitting and installing various components such as windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. This finishing work adds character and functionality to the spaces we create, requiring both technical skill and an eye for detail and aesthetics.
