Position Summary
The Food Service Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department. This position involves supervising and coordinating staff who prepare and portion food, maintaining quality control standards, and addressing customer concerns. The ideal candidate will have experience with alcoholic beverage service and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
As Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for establishing methods to meet work schedules and supervising staff activities across various team sizes, from 1-2 people to groups of more than 20. You’ll train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures while ensuring that all food and service meet our quality control standards. Your role will include addressing customer complaints, maintaining records of stock and sales, and preparing reports for management.
Staff Management
You’ll supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including food and beverage servers, food service counter attendants, and food preparers. Your leadership will be essential in establishing work schedules for various team sizes and ensuring that all team members understand their responsibilities and perform their duties efficiently.
Quality Assurance
Maintaining high standards of food safety and quality is paramount. You’ll ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, supervise the assembly of trays, and check the delivery of food trolleys. Your knowledge of culinary genres will help you maintain the excellent reputation of our food service operations.
Administrative Duties
The position requires meticulous attention to detail in maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage. You’ll prepare and submit regular reports to management, analyze operational data, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a Safe Food Handling certificate and Serving It Right Certificate. Experience with alcoholic beverages is required.
