Key Responsibilities

As a Food Counter Attendant at KIVAS BAGEL BAKERY, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations. Your responsibilities will include bringing clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and setting tables. You will be responsible for carrying and replacing linen, as well as cleaning and sanitizing items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.

Front of Duties

Your front-of-house duties will include clearing and cleaning tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and inviting dining area. You will prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, stock refrigerators and salad bars, and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.

Kitchen Maintenance

Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen is essential. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and sanitizing kitchen work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment. You will handle and store cleaning products properly, receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas. Additionally, you will remove kitchen garbage and trash, sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to ensure a hygienic environment.

Food Preparation

You will be involved in various food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit, as well as keeping records of the quantities of food used.
