Compensation Package

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $300,000 to $350,000, which is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. This compensation reflects the high value we place on our physicians’ expertise and contributions to our healthcare team. The position involves 40 to 42 hours of work per week with flexible scheduling options to accommodate work-life balance.

Employment Terms

This is a permanent, full-time position with the opportunity for flexible hours. The schedule can be determined collaboratively to meet both the clinic’s operational needs and the physician’s preferences. The position is available immediately, and we are looking to fill two vacancies, making this an excellent opportunity for physicians who may wish to practice alongside colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

As a Family Physician at HealX Medical Centre & Urgent Care, your responsibilities will include:

• Collecting comprehensive medical information from patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Conducting thorough examinations of patients’ health conditions to identify diseases, injuries, and other medical issues
• Assisting patients in developing healthy habits, breaking old detrimental habits, and reshaping their approach to overall wellness
• Ordering appropriate laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most effective medical treatment
• Consulting with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health from a multidisciplinary perspective
• Prescribing and administering medications and treatments in accordance with medical standards and regulations
• Providing expert advice to patients on healthcare matters, preventive care, and treatment options
• Serving as a patient advocate within the healthcare system, ensuring patients receive appropriate care and services
• Coordinating and managing primary patient care, including referrals to specialists and follow-up care
• Providing acute care management for patients with urgent medical needs
• Offering counseling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues

Qualification Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Completion of the College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
• Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities to practice medicine in Ontario
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current medical practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
