Key Responsibilities
As a Drywall Installer and Finisher at MDSCOMP, you will be responsible for reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements. Your duties will include applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster, as well as curing freshly plastered surfaces. You will fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings. The position also requires measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing drywall sheets to precise specifications.
Technical Skills Required
You will need to mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency and mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim. The role involves smoothing out excess compound and allowing coats to dry properly, as well as taping over joints using taping machines and embedding tape in compound.
