Job Overview
Big Way Group Inc is seeking a highly motivated District Manager for our Canteen Service division. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Richmond, British Columbia. The role offers a competitive monthly salary of $7,000 CAD for 40 hours of work per week, with the position available to start as soon as possible.
As District Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple canteen operations, ensuring excellence in service, financial performance, and staff management. Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing budgets to boost and maintain restaurant profits. This requires careful examination of financial data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to maximize revenue while controlling costs.
You will develop comprehensive budgets that accurately determine the cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen supplies, and cleaning materials. Budget development requires attention to detail and market knowledge to ensure competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
Daily operations evaluation is a critical aspect of this role. You will monitor all operational aspects to ensure efficiency, quality standards, and exceptional customer experiences across all canteen locations under your supervision.
Revenue monitoring and labor cost analysis will be essential functions. You’ll track sales performance and adjust staffing levels accordingly to optimize labor costs while maintaining service excellence during peak and off-peak hours.
Staff performance monitoring is another key responsibility. You’ll conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvement plans to ensure team members meet or exceed performance expectations.
Planning and organizing daily operations across multiple canteen locations requires strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate resources effectively to ensure smooth functioning of all sites.
Staff recruitment and training will fall under your purview. You’ll identify staffing needs, participate in the hiring process, and develop comprehensive training programs to ensure all team members are properly equipped to perform their roles.
Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations is paramount. You’ll stay current with all relevant Canadian food safety standards, implement proper hygiene protocols, and maintain compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Negotiating arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies is an important aspect of cost control. You’ll build relationships with vendors, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure supply chain reliability.
Participating in marketing plans and implementation will help drive business growth. You’ll work with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and ensure consistent brand messaging across all locations.
Addressing customers’ complaints or concerns requires excellent communication skills and customer service focus. You’ll resolve issues promptly and implement preventive measures to enhance customer satisfaction.
