Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Sukhdev Restaurant. This is a permanent, full-time position offering competitive wages between $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, with the exact rate subject to negotiation based on experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our restaurant premises. This position is essential to our operations and plays a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a pleasant dining experience in a clean and safe environment.

This full-time position offers approximately 30 to 40 hours of work per week, providing stable employment with consistent hours. The position starts as soon as possible, and we currently have two vacancies available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing all floor surfaces throughout the restaurant. You will ensure that all flooring is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for both staff and customers.

Dusting furniture and fixtures is another essential aspect of this role. You will be responsible for regularly dusting all surfaces, including tables, chairs, shelves, and decorative elements, to maintain a clean and presentable environment for our patrons.

Vacuuming is a critical part of maintaining cleanliness in our establishment. You will vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to remove dust, debris, and allergens, ensuring a healthy environment for everyone in the restaurant.

Maintaining hygiene in food service areas is of utmost importance. You will disinfect operating rooms and other food preparation areas to meet health and safety standards. This includes using appropriate cleaning agents and following proper sanitation protocols.

Cleaning and disinfecting elevators is another responsibility in this role. You will ensure that all elevator surfaces are regularly cleaned and disinfected to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and customers.

Picking up debris and emptying trash containers throughout the restaurant is an ongoing task. You will monitor and maintain all waste disposal areas, ensuring that garbage is properly contained and removed according to scheduled procedures.

Washing windows, walls, and ceilings completes the comprehensive cleaning responsibilities of this position. You will ensure that all these surfaces are kept clean, free of marks, and maintained to enhance the overall appearance of our restaurant.
