Brief Description
Store materials, pick, pack and scan orders with the goal to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. Ensure proper care and maintenance of company’s stock, including ordering, receiving, inspecting and managing inventory.
Duties
Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
Receive and process on time warehouse stock items (pick, unload, label, store).
Inspect deliveries for damage, fault, missing items or any discrepancy and report those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping.
Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
Ensure adequate record keeping, update Bin Cards and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control.
Ensure all received items are processed to the level of GRN.
Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom.
Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
Complete diary logs into inventory and report any discrepancies.
Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment.
Ensure safe delivery and distribution of items for branches, customers and departments.
Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
Take up IMS responsibilities such as reporting unsafe act, condition or procedure in the work place, participating in fire or emergency drill at work, participating in incident reporting and investigation when necessary and adherence to Company policies
Competencies
Knowledge of proper bookkeeping, inventory management and stock counting
Keen attention to detail with the ability to effectively manage time
Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems
Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
Very good organizational skills
Able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
Minimum Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent will be an advantage.
Min 3-5 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or recordkeeping.
